Default Electrical issue's/ signal and brake light's

okay so i notice one of my blinkers had went out.......so i just disconnected it and i am waiting for a replacement now i've noticed when i hit my brakes my brake lights dont light up.. rear brake nothing , front brake nothing......but when i turn the bike on all my lights light up but no action when the brake is applied...but if i hit my front brake lever my right signal indicator lets up on my instrument cluster its weird..please help .......secondly i got alot of red dust on my chain does that mean i need to get a new chain? im a noob when it comes to repairing bikes......thanks in advance for any help given..........

download a repair manual and look at the wire diagram. I sure you have some wires crossed somewhere. RED DUST ? I have no clue about.

red dust?? Maybe an advanced breed of highly motivated RUST! I would get a new chain stat!
As for the signals, it definatly sounds like a wiring issue.
Get a manual from www.stephygee.com, and look at the wiring diagram all the way i nthe back, that should help you sort out your wiring to see if its correct.
Are there any electrical mods done to your bike?
