Default brake light issue

When i got this bike the brake light didnt come on when i used the rear brake, but did when i use the front brake, now i noticed neither of them makes the brake light come on. I pulled the bulbs and the filaments are good, i tried adjusting that unit the is linked to the rear brake lever and still nothing. I noticed when i hold the brake lever the secondary filament doesnt light up at all, but if i tap it quickly it will become dim then get brighter and brighter. ive never seen this happen before, any ideas how to fix it? I took a quick vid to show what happens, you can see it great brighter as im tapping the front brake quickly.

Sounds and looks like the brake switches are in need of cleaning/replacing. Try disconnecting the 2 - 90degree connectors at the front brake switch and short them together with a little piece of wire. Secondary filament should come on. If so then the front brake switch is bad. Repeat step for rear brake switch, but disconnect at little connector just above rear brake.( behind side panel ) Remember to only connect the wires to each other and not to frame( will blow fuse ).

I cleaned up the connections on the front switch and got it working, rear switch is beyond fixing. Thank you very much for your help!
