i bought a bike from a son of bitch poor as mechanic, and among numerous other things this happened to me also. i tried everything everyone before me has said and i still could not get the damn thing off. i had to get a sawzall and square off the nut(very carefully) then i got a new set of visegrips that closed horizontally(this is most important), and put those on the bolt with grips handle pointing down(you have to jack the bike up rather high), then i got a large crescent wrench and put that around the grips, then i got a hammer and beat the **** out of the wrench and it finally broke loose.
i know it sounds like i am a terrible mechanic going around hitting **** n all but i had my uncle with me n we worked on that damn thing for 4 hours trying to get it off before we tried the above, we had no other choice, it was my last resort. if it didn't work i has going to have to buy a new case.

None of my torque wrenches have that feature. Then again, I have about five drives and a 1/2 -inch breakdown bar. Use it three times a year, but when you need it, you need it.

Agree with everyone else. You need the right socket and more leverage. Put the 12mm on and then put a pipe on the end of the wrench if you don't have a true breaker bar - that will give you more leverage.
Hopefully you can find a new drain plug nice and cheap because I beter that one is F'd up....
