do valves really need adjusting at 16k?

I'll pay to have them fixed later if they actually have a problem. Paying that much to have them looked at seems silly. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

First off, that quote is extremely high. Second, that was to have the valves adjusted, not to check them. Do what you want, it's your machine; but Honda didn't suggest they be checked just for the hell of it....

I just got a quote from a shop in my area, they said 3 hours tops at $55 a hour
