adjusting my valves
First remove cam chain guide, then remove the cam chain sprocket bolts and then the cam sprockets. Then just tie the chain off to the side with a piece of wire, you don't have to totally remove it unless you planning on replacing it. If you don't have a factory service manual I would recommend getting one before I would attempt this kind of job tho.

The manual will show you where the tick marks for the crankshaft are so that you disassemble in the correct position. That is always a good thing to know.

First. How many miles are on your bike and Second. YOur probably going to wish you hadn't because it's a pain in the *** getting them right. And I tell you this because even if you can hear them tapping a bit that doesn't mean you need them adjusted... 9 out of 10 bikes in my buddies shop that ask for a valve adjustment didn't need one.... Hope that helps
thanks guys ya after getting everything apart and just checking the clearances it looks like i dont need to pull the cams. so now im just putting everything back together. the bike is a 05 with 24k+ miles. thanks everyone for the help
