I just got the bike and there is no owner manual does anybody have a owner manual for 03 cbr600f4i...and also at what speed do you change gears...for example in a car I change between 3000 and 4000 rpm. Thanks

It is best to change gears by feel. Changing at that RPM is fine. I do it too.

Here is the service manual:

Just do a search on the forum and you will find a link to the owner's manual.

Hey ali7up, you have 14K rpm to play with. The power band doesn't kick in until after 6K. I'd say average shift points would be 5K to 7K (I don't know what MPH that is). Here's the Owner's Manual: LINK Their example of shift points is ridiculously conservative, imo.

I shift whenever I don't require the power of the gear I'm currently in. I'll go as far as 4th in a residential 35mph area.

Gears are meant to be used as the situation dictates. Sometimes the situation requires one to bounce on the rev limiter in 6th...sometimes not :-)

When you can't stand the sound of the motor at 13k then shift
