Well I placed an order for the H7/6K/35W kit on Wed 7/14/2010. I emailed DDM Tuning on Fri 7/16 to find out the status of my order as the order status on their website stated "PROCESSING". Since they did not respond to my email on Fri 7/16 I emailed them again on Tue 7/20. Still no response...So I called them directly 858-633-2020 today Thu 7/22 at 11:09 AM MST and spoke with Rich in regards to my order number and he said they are on a backorder. Being frustrated as they could have communicated this to me via email, I simply said to cancel my order. He happily obliged as I am sure he is just the middle man between China and the customers and said your credit card refund will take 3-5 business days to process.

No more HID project for me...Well at least in the short term. I would not buy from DDM Tuning as it does not seem like I am the first that has had issues with them.

I guess I should have done more research on this company before buying anything from them:

Bad Reviews in regards to back orders. Great prices, just actually receiving the goods they charge on your credit card the same day may take weeks or months in some cases!

Wow, how bad news travels fast about this company. If you want to do business with them, please be patient!

That really sucks to hear... I actually ordered that same kit on the same day as you did. I'm in no hurry to get it though, so I can live with that. Wish they would of sent an email stating it was on back-order when the order was placed or had it on ther website stating it...

Default Call me impatient....

SICK97SS - Your HID's look sick!

The previous owner wired the lights where both of them are on all of the time. So, if I were to get the HID's I would have to wire them back to where only one light was on the other came on only if it were toggled to the high beam.

Oh, well. I guess I just saved my time for some other projects I have outstanding. I was not looking forward to figuring out what kind of wiring he had to accomplish to get both of the lights to be on all of the time.

Hey guys. Any update on whether or not a fellow member should order from DDM Tuning? Whats the deal with them/turn around. Looks to be hit or miss with the current status at miss. Im in AZ and theyr in CA so I was thinking IF in stock it would be no longer than 2 days? GOing with 35W H7 6000K (contemplating 8000K). If the consnsus is to advise away from ordering from DDm, where else can I get this?

DDM has pretty good track record on other forums - i think the main issue here is that they are out of stock for the kit you F4 guys need.

On a separate note, I installed mine on my F2 last night, and the headlight blinks on, and then turns off. I've just put a call into their tech support about it, and waiting on a callback at the moment. I'll keep you updated on how this gets handled.

Placed order on the 16th or so? Haven't gotten any word so I've been calling them. Same issues like most people, being placed on hold for 15 or so minutes till I give up.

Well anyways, I get through to a sweet Asian girl yesterday and she promises to call me back, which at this point I'm sure she won't...but she does. Says they'll be in stock today and order should be shipped out today as well.
I'll be realistic and say, at best, IF they did indeed receive it today, then my lights will be shipped next week. Probably get it by the beginning of the following week as well.

Oh well. Just don't be in a hurry to get them that's all. I don't mind saving a few bucks.
