cheap mods
GP shift setup is as easy as flipping the linkage upside down on the splines. Might have to grind down your front sprocket cover though because it will hit. Some guys (track guys) like it, others don't, to each their own.
You said this is to "get an edge on others", im guessing, for personalization rather than for speed. Only because most any other 01+ sportbike on the street is going to out run the f4i regardless of it's mods.
IF you REALLY want to get an edge on others for FREEEEE, work on your clutchless shifting. 90% of riders cant shift if their lives depended on it and shifting is EVERYTHING when it comes to straitline speed.
But you can't exactly work on your shifting during a snowstorm, heh

Being as you're in the snow working on the beast and assuming you're not ordering parts. The free mod to do while you're in there would be the Clean Air Mod for sure as mentioned, definitely a noticeable difference. Clean and lube moving parts and your throttle cables. i love fresh lubed throttle cables,,so smoooooth....
