Just got the oil filter today and another washer and stuff so going to change it sometime soon when I'm bored haha. Thanks for the imput thus far just figured I'd start getting an idea now ahead of time. Nice to know it seems easy.

I always take the fairing off but I'm all about making life easier, so I'm going to try your method next time BigWill. See how hard/easy it is to reach in there with the plastics on.

Took me 10 minutes with a stand. Warm it up for like 2 minutes then drain it.

I don't have a stand sadly enough yet :P

But warm it up for 2 minutes first then drain it?

Yeah, I would. The oil thins out as it warms up and it will drain out much easier, and faster.

I've never had an issue with hand tightening mine, but then again I was able to loosen the factory one by hand as well on my '06.

Am I the only one who uses a wrench to tighten the oil filter? My first time I hand tighten it and oil was leaking out....could be that I'm just a weak a$$. [:@]

Hand tight works on my car just never had good luck with that method on my bikes.

death grip eh?
