Exclamation CBR600 F4i Headlights and Tail lights

I'm having an issue where the headlights and taillights dont come on no matter what, the bike rides fine and the turn signals signal fine but aren't constantly on. I checked all the fuses and they are fine. Any ideas what it could be? I already checked my starter switch to make sure its fully out to ensure the switch isn't the reason they are off.

Thanks in advanced for any pointers or ideas!

You need to get the multimeter out and trace the voltage.

Do you have a wiring diagram for the bike?

I’d start at the lighting switch, do you have battery voltage on the black input wire, is there battery voltage on the brown output wire (tail light and position light). Similarly with the red and black input and blue and white output wires (headlight). If so, move to the dip switch, do you still have battery voltage on the input blue and white wire, then either the white or the blue output wires. If so, move to the headlight itself, is there battery voltage on either the blue or the white wire, if so then it’s an earthing problem so trace the earth back to the frame.

N.B. Caution, this has been written using the wiring diagram for a UK F3 and needs checking against your bike's picture.

Thanks for the advice, so the issue ended up being the soldering from the wire to the connector in the ignition switch had become undone. Either due to the vibrations or high current draw through the wire. I'm not sure and my rear tail lights were also blown out. Soldered it back down and got some new bulbs for the rear and its all set now. Thank God for making it easy to find! All in all did it in less than about two hours. Not sure why I couldn't find it before I was having a really hard time pin pointing what it was but after reading your message I went step by step and notice the light switch wasn't sending the signal to the screen that the high beams were on so I knew the fault had to be before that part somewhere. In the image below I marked where it had became undone. That is the 2006 CBR600 F4i wiring diagram.

Well done, glad you’re sorted.
