Warm the bike up for about 10 minutes then set the idle. It should be at 1,300 + or - 100 rpm. Service manual 1-5. Where is your bike btw? I don't know if this matters, but do colder climates effect cold start idling?

 

according to the owners manual, proper rmp is 1300 +- 100

 

f4ith, it does matter about the climate. good question. the colder, drier air will cause it to idle higher for longer until warm up. where as denser, warmer air warms up faster, but sometimes causes issues with overheating. damn humidity. but regardless, his bike wouldn't be idling at 5 grand just because it's cold. i live in northeast ohio, and it's november, and my bike idles at 3,000 rpm at 7am. did you make it to the screw Green??

 

Yea i tried it but it aint do anything.. only when the bike settled down did I notice it move... i think it might be something internal....

 

have somebody take a look at your throttle body..maybe something is getting stuck.
