cam tensioner installation

Hi guys
How hard is it to install the cam tensioner? I'm looking to buy an ape one but not sure how hard it is to install it.. thanks

should be pretty easy with the right tools 1/4" extensions with an angle driver attachment.

the honda manual that all honda techs use says that u have to take off the tank, air box and throttle bodies. which isnt bad. it is a bitch to get at without doing that

no need for this hassle. I replaced mine with manual APE one.

All you need is a simple 1$ allen L key, a piece of wood and a hammer. Just hook the shorter arm of the allen key to the bolt and apply the piece of wood to the other arm of the key and hit it with the hammer. Once the screw unscrews a bit you just turn it over with your hand. I have a flexi drive to remove difficult bolts but i didnt need it at all.

You will probably cuss it at least once, but a 1/4 socket, flex drive, and allen bits will get it.

No need to remove the airbox, and I just lifted and supported the tank.
