Buying 2002 F4i help needed
just trying to see how much it is worth before i go and buy it...2002 f4i 7200 miles clean title,needs battery, tank has a dent seems to be laid down on left side..been parked for a few years...how much should i pay for this got him down to 2200

he told me he put the left fairing back on and its there..im not sure if the engine covers have scrapes....he also told me it ran good when it last ran so if i go see it i will make sure it runs before i buy it

a tank cost 500 dollars, so as long as you don't care about aesthetics and don't think that is valued in money then whatever.
here is some things to look out for, does it run? is the tank loaded with rust? you want to get that gas out of there too.
oil change, new tires, you probably want to change your fork oil and seals, look for pitting or rust on the forks, it looks from the mirror that it has been dropped on both sides.
low mileage doesnt make up for a bike if its been neglected. i say tires because it probably wasn't on stands for those few years of being parked.
check the fuel pump too if the gas isn't crap, a fuel pump cost 350 bucks or more, you'll probably need to replace the fuel pressure regulator too, 40-80 bucks.
if the guy ran the bike during that time to keep it health then sure seems like a deal, but i would say 1000-1500, battery cost 100+ as well.
but the f4i engine is a strong one so it may be worth it just because of that.
