The point to SS braids is lack of expansion.
They will more efficently transfer the MC's force to the calipers pistons.
This, in turn, gives more consistent feed-back and finer control.
Reliability is also addressed, especially vs 15 year old OEM.
I generally recommend this, as one of the most "bang-for-the-buck" upgrades.
It is also an excuse (if you needed one) to flush and change the brake fluid.
Another really cheap performance boost.
