Well, I know this is a very old link (I think I remember seeing this back in 2002), but I came across it again. What have people done with their break-in periods and how have their bikes faired over the years? I ask this purely out of curiosity, it's many months before I can even think about a new bike and I've never owned a new motorized vehicle in my life.
