Default Blue full beam light coming on when pressing turn signal

So I took my f4i out for first ride and she was doing something weird with the lights. When riding I had the headlights on and pushed the signal switch left, suddenly I noticed the blue full beam light appear on also then the bike cut out as I was moving off. So I turned the lights off completely and turned the bike on and she went on as normal. I had to turn right so again I pushed the signal switch right this time and I saw a faint blue full beam light flashing along with the green signal light. There was definitely a loss of power or something not quite right. Any suggestions. The bike hasn’t been ridden for about 2 years.
Cheers

Sounds like something has caused a grounding/shoring issue in your wiring in that control 'box'.

Take apart both switch boxes on each side of handles and inspect. There is something loose or breaking in there. Lots of people have had to re-solder on the right side box, I'd imagine something like that is going on.

Hey guys so I located the fault in the plug connection between the left upper fairing and the frame. It was the two green wire pins, (male and female), had got a bit of corrosion and wasn’t making the connection. So cleaned them up with some vinager, gave them a little hoke and scrape and hey presto all working again.

Great to hear, nice easy fix (once you found it).
This sort of issue will unfortunately become more common as the bikes age and many of the connectors are not waterproof.

Glad it wasn't anything serious. Have fun! Be safe! Keep cool!
