does it still stall when you start it in neutral and then put it into 1st gear ?

 

Yes that was the Main problem that was happening.

I then started it in 3rd and it kept running and then I tried in 1st and it kept running so maybe there was something wrong with 1st until I started in 3rd which might have cleared the fault? Not really sure

i see. glad it's working now but just wonder why it wasn't working yesterday and suddenly started to work fine.
will try to find its full wiring diagram and let you know if i find something relevant. i think @IDoDirt will give you a clue

 

It's possible that the connection on either the ECI or the 2 pin connector on the Side Stand Switch was not making good contact. Taking that apart and or testing has now helped it make contact. Glad its working ok for you now.
