Default Left Switch Gear Removal

Can I remove my left switch gear (horn button, hi/low beam, and blinker switches), and my bike still run fine. I dont need the switch cluster. Its a track only bike. I would like to unplug the connecters, I wouldn't just start cutting wires. I'm to ****. I'm not worried about the choke either, I got something figured out for that. Thanks.

Yes, for a track-only bike, should work fine. Try dis-connecting it all and running the bike. If that works then you can pull it. I believe a lot of trackers, rip out the original harness and custom-build a new one that eliminates all of the street only eqiupment.

No you can't.Everything has to be plugged in except the turn signals and gauges. Now,I'm sure there's a way around it,I just don't know how.

I tried something today. I followed my left switch gear wires to the front of the bike and unplugged them. Biked started and revved up fine, went thru the gears,(the bike is on a stand in my garage), ran fine. But.........it will not start in gear with the clutch in. Must put in neautral. I can deal with that.

that will be because you've effectively left the clutch switch in a permanant open circuit.

AT the large connector on the bike where the loom plugs in put a jumper across the Green/Red & Green/White wires (black & black on the switch side) and the bike will always start even in gear as it will always thnk the clutch is pulled in.

May save you time in a track situation or cause you to fall off if you forget;o)

Or even better run a couple of wires from the Green/Red & Green/White back to the clutch switch (doesn't matter which way round at the switch) and have it all work normally
