Default bike shuts off after hitting a bump

this season i haven't gotten to ride very much but i have noticed a problem with the bike this summer. My bike is a 01 f4i and is in really good shape, almost looks new but lately has been shutting of while I'm riding it. It seems to only happen when i hit a bump. once i hit a bump in the road like on the highway it completely shuts down. Its the same thing as just turning the bike off while riding. I have to pull the clutch in really quick and coast, flip the on off switch and it comes back to life.

Has anyone else had this type of issue? I personally think the off switch is going bad and the contacts are bad, once i hit the bump its like i have turned the bike off. I was also thinking that it could be the kickstand switch. Before i start taking things apart i was hoping someone on here could give me some suggestions.

thanks all

Battery connections, sidestand spring tension or switch, on/off switch on handlebar, or electrical connection under fairings.

Don't forget the bank angle sensor.

You might have a not very solid ground somewhere.. When this happens, does your headlight turn off or stay on?
