Went down.... ouch... weird bump now from bike..
I was leaning to the left(changing lanes) and my reartire fish-tailed to the right....I was on the throttle, not 100%...I hardly ever go 100%. Anyway so I eased off the throttle and brought the bike back upright.. then the front end started to wobble..... now thats never happened to me before.. I didnt know what to do. I let off the throttle even more.....I went down. I was told I should have sped up just a bit to straighten the bike out... I looked at the reartire and there was a faint white line going all the way around the left side of the tire...did I lose it on a white line seperating the lanes? It was dry out..I think I lost it about 80mph..but went down around 60-70mph
Anyway... Bike is ok and runs fine with a small oil leak from the stator cover... thank god for frame sliders. I'm ok but with no gloves my left hand got it pretty good. I need a new helmet(parts to hold visorare missing)and jacket(holes holes holes)though...
Now there seems to be a small "bump" at low speeds like I am riding on a not so smooth road..... I checked the tires/rims and didnt notice anything..I didnt notice any suspension changes..from about 1-27 mph I can feel it..after that not really. I'm pretty sure I need new tires anyway but just curious if anyone knows what this may be besides tires?

sucks to go down, expecially at those speeds. glad you made it out with no major injury. wont need to remind you to wear your gloves.
as for the bike, very possible that you could have bent your rim, is the bump coming from the front or the back? up and down, left or right. either a cupped tire, or a bent rim is my guess. possible warped rotor? just grasping at straws.

Paint, "tar snakes", sewer covers, road plates, rr tracks, etc.are waiting totake you down. If your front tire and rear tire aren't in a straight line when you brake, or let off the throttle (same as braking), youcould be in trouble. You don't have enough contact patch to turn and brake at the same time. Glad you are okay...you have to have gloves on, bro. I can't help you with your current "bump" feeling, but I'm sure others can help.
Thanks guys.. the bump is up and down kinda hard to explain... I know...gloves are needed
When I went down I tucked my arms to my chest and tried to land on my back..but I landed on my left side rolled a few times then stopped on my back and slid... tore a hole in my back pocket where my wallet was, and ripped the seam over my butt haha I was wearing denim ...
I'll look over the bike again

geez...yeah glad ur alright. I went down in Japan and hope to never go down around the normal US speeds you mentioned, still I see lots of silliness around. I've already gotten slippy and slidey braken for cages in the city and the season just onlystarted. Apparently it's drive like an a $$hole day every day in America. God Bless Us!
