If it were me, i would get a closed core battery, the ones at walmart and the like have the acid seperate so they have a longer shelf life, I have had best luck with batteries where you don't have to add the acid, sorry i don't know the exact name for this kind of battery....dry core!?!?!?!.......anywho......my two cents

 

trav i think those are called maintenance free. Id try to find a cheap yutsa or wtv the stock battery is

 

is there a possibility of just recharging it?
