Default Bar end weight removal

Hi all, just wondering if anyone removed the internal bar end weight? I just took mine out and they seems quite heavy

Is there any disadvantage of removing the weight?

They are there to dampen the vibration through the bars. The heavier, the better.

Removing them is a complete disadvantage.

Suppose to be light grip on the handlebars anyway..

I removed mine, just wear some gel padded cycling gloves and get into the good habit to avoid "death grip" while riding.

I have no numb hands after few hundred miles in the saddle.

For track riding, heavy weights near the top of the bike (above tank) is a complete disadvantage to me.

Besides, track sessions usually don't last longer than an hour at a time, engine vibe less likely to tire your hands out in than amount of time.
