Default Banana handle removal-help

So I am looking to remove my banana handle as i don't like the look of it. Now i am looking to cover up the holes that are left from removing it. Do any of you guys know what i could use, is there such a thing made to fill up the holes? I was thinking of using black electrical tape for now. Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys.

search for F4i targa. A little pricey but it will look so much better. The tape thing. A little tacky, but I guess will do for now.

I don't really like the look of the targa plus I am looking at getting the euro seat cowl. Plus i would like access to my under seat with out taking the seat cowl off.

What I did was cut the handle near the base and then filed and sanded the piece down. I then painted it a glossy black to match my cowl and bolted it back on the bike. This way it still had the stock factory bolt on method, just has the handle part cut off. Dont use a grinder as it will heat up the metal waaaay too much and **** up any chance u have at getting a nice smooth surface. There is a writeup on here somewhere. A guy even did that and drilled a hole between the crews and mounted a red LED light there. It was strictly for show as it did nothing for lighting up the ground and too small to be seen by rear cars. Just a thought man. Good luck

I have a Power bronze rear cowl to cover up the rear portion of my banana seat when my gf is not on the back. looks pretty good

That might be an option thanks for the help. I guess i will need another banana handle to experiment with and see how it will come out. Any other idea guys? If there is an easier way i let me know.

It's a little more expensive and a lil more work, but another option..... get an F4 tail. '99-00 F4 and '04-06 F4i had the exact same tail fairing EXCEPT for the handle.... F4 did not have it. So it's a direct swap for your tail, just minus the holes. Only thing is you have have to paint it and put new stickers on if you want them

Just an idea.... and ebay is your friend

Just paint it the same color as your plastics, it'll blend right in.

Leave it on there, someday you will get some girl who is scared to ride and the handle will be there for her to hold on to and then she won't crush your nuts when you come to a stop and she flys forward onto you.

ya the wife is not to thrill that i took of the banana as it does serve a purpose. I might just go the targa cowl route instead and take it off when i want to ride 2 up.
