Newbish question- throttle handle removal
I finally got my bike running today and was really excited to go take her for the first ride of the year. I was adjusting my throttle slack because i removed the carbs yesterday, and I ended up breaking the throttle handle. To my credit, it wasnt actually my fault- I took off the grip and realized that the PO had the thing glued together, so it was bound to fail eventually (just glad it was in my garage and not on the road). Id like to know how to take the throttle handle out so I can replace it. Im pretty sure i need to loosen the tension on the cables, but is there a way to do this without taking my carbs back out? Ive already unscrewed the tubes that connect to the housing. I looked in my manual, didnt spot how to do it, but I may have missed it.
Thanks in advance

PS if theres any confusion about which part im talking about- its the plastic tube thats inside the throttle grip. It holds the two throttle cables in the housing.

Sure, easy to do. Loosen the clamp bolt that holds the Clip-On onto the Fork Tube. There is a small snap ring around the top of the fork tube that keeps the Clip-On from sliding off the the top of the Fork Tube. You can use your fingernail to remove this little ring. Once the Clip-On is off the top of the Fork Tube, remove the screws from the underside of the Switch Housing, which will split in two. Then the throttle will slide right off the Clip-On.
