Well its been 21,ooo miles and its definetly time for a replacement. not sure if this is a difficult task, im sure it involves lower fairing and inner fairing, also will be using BMC or K& N air filter, If you have any info on the nessesary procedures i would greatly appreciate it , as would my engine.

 

Take the 4 bolts holding the gas tank out. Lift the gas tank and take the bolts off the black cover, remove the black cover pull air filter and and install new one. I recommend 2 things. One use a k&n filter so you don't have to replace it that fast. Its easier if you have 2 people but it can be down with one. Someone can hold the gas tank up while you take the bolts off the black cover. Oh another thing I recommend doing this when the gas is about empty out of the tank makes it a little easier. Yeah i did it the same way and had somebody hold the tank while i put her in

 

i just used a long file to hold the tank up while i did the rest, i was done in about a half hour.....really easy to do....

 

Thanks mustang,96 , and turbo, for the Info will probably replace with K$N , cause BMC is twice as much , will probably to it myself with the file method. well see it get so hot out in riverside, ca , gotta be done by 9 am and my buddy's dont wake up till 12pm
