I have Galfer wave rotors front and back. I would definitely say that if you're willing to pay the money for name brand with reputable history products, do it.

In my opinion, on the street they would, on the track they would not. But that's just my opinion of the quality of Ebay knock-off stuff. Some Ebay no-name brands are run-offs or "stolen" designs (like the levers that are everywhere now), so it's possible that the quality is even there, but because it's direct from China, it's cheaper. That said, I'd still probably rock Ebay rotors on the track.

Resurrecting old thread...

It would be awesome to have a sticky comparing brake rotors, their price, and their weight.

Does anyone know how much the stock front rotors weight?

people get bigger rotors and brakes for their car when they want more performance. more surface area means more grip, and therefore, you can brake latter in corners. thus you can go in faster and exit sooner.

the perspective of motorcycle rotors having more holes and less surface area, but somehow equals more performance doesn't really make sense. if there is any performance effect of these cute and pretty rotors, it would be on the negative side. You would have to brake earlier entering the corner, since there is less grip.

I was just thinking the same. I need new brakes on my bike and I want to know what kind of rotors I can get. I really dont feel like paying 120+ for each rotor and I want to know if Im good with getting this bundled rotor deal from eBay.
