Default Aftermarket Rotors

I intend to get some aftermarket rotors for the bike and was looking for any recommendations or experiences from other. I'm leaning towards Galfer wave rotors.

Has anyone installed aftermarket rotors on their F4i?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Wave rotors look SIIICK. But i don't believe there are any performance gains,, Just for looks IMO.

If they were any better than "round" rotors you would see every motoGP rider using them........but you don't.

im pretty sure there are actual performance gains... alot of track guys use them and track guys are function over looks....

as for lookin for new ones.. check ebay... u can get knock offs of the waves from the uk for like 1/5 the price

wouldn't they be lighter than the stock ones due to not having as much mass??? maybe not much difference...but every little bit helps. especially when it comes to rotating unsprung weight.

What I am going to say I don't know for certain I am just speculating so take it with a grain of salt but I would not think there would be any real performance gains especially just riding on the street. The things that are going to help braking is surface area of the contact between the pad and rotor and of course what material the pads and rotors are. Now if your racing you need to keep the brakes nice and cool which the waves ones might help do over the OEM ones. With all this being said I think the OEM ones are good, they will throw you over the front end if your not careful. Are you going to actual performance gains for just looks?

FYI~ There's nothing wrong with the stock rotors. Unless you are an advanced track rider/racer, you're not going to notice a difference.

That being said, the Galfer wave's are sick looking.
