I read that in order for your computer to read your PC, you need to plug a 9V battery up to it, if it isnt on your bike. Well exactly how/where do you do this? Thanks.

 

It's an adapter you buy for your PC III so you can take it into a desktop PC and program it if you don't have a laptop. The adapter plugs into the PC III like the normal harness does, but only has two wires that you connect a 9v battery to.

 

It comes with a special connector that you plug into the PCIII and connect a battery. It connects onto the 10 pin connector.

Does anyone know which two pins in the 10 pin connector are the ones I can just quick hook to?

 

I don't think I'd try to pick out the two pins that you need to provide power to, finding someone that has the adapter would probably be a lot easier or you could buy a replacement one. The adapter isn't listed on Dynojet's website, but they do have a number on there that you can call to order parts not found on that page, I would think that they would still have PCIII parts availableeven though they don't make it anymore.
