2003 F4i MYSTERY...NEED HELP
red wire and two black wires i have battery voltage 12.4...and the engine stop relay works fine, and i dohave 12.4 at the light blue and light green. so im still stuck
yea, send power to your fuel pump....Make sure when you do that you shut it off when you shut off the vehicle.. If you ever notice when you first turn te bike to the run position the fuel pump only runs for a second then shuts off......If you leave your fuel pump running while the bikes off you'll burn it up real quick...I'm guessing our fuel lines run a a returnless system, so you could burn your pump up in no time if you forget to shut it off....I don't like bandaids, if you can't figure it out you should take it in..The bikes only 4 years old. No point in hacking it up worse than it already is....my .02
finally figured it out...it was the diode in the ignition. after doing research on f4i motors in quads, i found out that the pink wire from the ignition needs to get 9 volts. pink wire leads to ecu. when i replaced the diode in the ignition the first time i replaced it with another zener diode which did nothing at all. i needed to drop the voltage to 9 volts so i dropped in a 2.2k ohm resistor, and it started up like cake. i knew it was something small. so if your diode in your ignition is blown replace it with a 2.2k ohm resistor and not another diode. thanks again for everyones help!
okay i messed up and took the headlight off the front and the back fuel relay sensor goes crazy so i bypass the tip over sensor and it stops but still no fuel pump ive wired it strait to the battery and it works i dont no if it is the diode in the pink wire i used a resistor last night and that didnt work ive checked the fuses but when ever i turn the key the fuel on my guage doesnt come on until i mve my kick stand up and down would that mean its the kick stand sensor what do u do to bypass that just wirethem together any help would be great thanks
