2003 F4i MYSTERY...NEED HELP

When you jump the plug you're fuel pump works, problem solved, its the plug

check the green wire in your wire harness that goes to the headlights. usually that pin comes out

well, i think i found the problem...took off my ignition switch and loosened the bottom and i found our that a resistor or diode is blown...could this be it? does anyone know what that does?

Diodes are like a 1-way flow regulator for electricity. Resistors, limit current flow.

replaced the diode but still same problem...im stuck. checked for trouble codes again but get no blinks...ecm maybe?

Are both your headlights coming on? Or are both turn signal indicators staying lit on the cluster?

nope...all lights work fine. low beam, high beam, front and rear signals.

Dunno, but IIRC a blown diode will open the circuit and a blown resistor will give you infinite resistance (drain battery, no juice anywhere else) until is burns itself out and give a short circuit (break in circuit).

yea...supposedly its for anti-theft purposes. bought a new one from radio shack and replaced it. cheaper than buying a new ignition.
