RE: 2003 F4i MYSTERY...NEED HELP
im havin same problem with 05 motor, i pulled the tank and poured fuel in the throttle bodies and it fired and ran fine, so i put tank back on and used a jumper wire on the fuel pump relay to kick it in manually... And found that the ground wire for the fuel pump relay had been burned a little bit.....so i spliced in and kicked in the fuel pump manually and the bad ground was my problem.....hope it helps you out

try to use a jumper wire where your fuel pump relay is to manually kick in the fuel pump.... and make sure you dont have a bad ground goin to your fuel pump relay,,,,i had that problem so i took tank off and poured fuel in the throttle bodies and it fired and ran so i traced my wirin to the fuel pump relay and it was a burnt ground wire not very visable at all

ok theres four wires on the fuel pump relay......2 equal size blacks with white stripe they are side by side.................1 skinny brown wire (solid brown) and 1 skinny brown wire with a black stripe they are side by side also.... i replaced the small brown one and that was the problem some how the wire burned in a few places...........................and one more thin to check for, on the right side of the throttle bodies and check the three prone wire which will be your (throttle poistion sensor) i broke mine once and took me 2 months to figure out why it would fire and not run and i had broken one of the prone wile takn the tank off..........

Then you have a problem with either the power or ground to the relay. Most are ground side switched (I don't have the schematic in front of me at the moment), but check both the power and ground for the relay control. Sounds like you have an open circuit in either of those, so start tracing wires and checking continuity
