Default 05 F4i Starting Issues

Hey all. I am new to the forums and just a 2005 F4i earlier this week. I had no problems taking it off the lot and riding around town. It has gotten me back and forth to work with no issue this week. But today after I got out of the workshop, I went to the other side of my compound to check something then rode back and when I turned off the bike and then turned it back on, it wouldn't turn over. I tried letting it sit for a few. Eventually my friend came out and gave me a jump with his vehicle. It stayed on. But when I tried to turn over prior to that it would click click click, then nothing. The readouts would come up headlight on, but as soon as I started it all died. Well I got it home and it did the same thing again. Can anyone suggest what might be some problems. I only bought the bike with 1160 miles on it. Barely used for an 05.

Thanks.

1-don't ever jump it with a car battery-you might end up frying your wirring
2-99% that it might be your battery...do you here the fuel pump priming???, even if the gauges and the lights are on, your battery might not have enough juice to crank it...
3-99% of new bike owners(i don't know if you r, or not)don't know that if the kick stand is down, and your bike in gear, thenit will not start
let's start from here, check all this, and we'll go from there...

Jumped it from his bike.
I do hear fuel priming. I also checked the fuses. I switched out the starter fuse with a fresh one, it started once, then didn't start again after I shut it off.
I had a cruiser before this one. Kickstand acted as an autokill like it does on this one.

well then trickle your battery for a couple of hours...
just make shure that it's not the battery
then you can start checking the starter...

Please define "trickle your battery" as I have not had this issue before therefore I haven't heard the term.

Unfortunately the dealership didn't have a manual for the bike and I haven't been able to locate a owner's manual. Know of anywhere I can find one.

Please define "trickle your battery"
Utilizing atrickle chargerto re-charge your battery. Also used to maintain a battery when notused forlong periods of time, like during the Winter, thus prolonging its useful life.Walmart sellsthe 1.5 amp Battery Maintainer by Schumacher for $20. Link This charger is fully automatic and can be left plugged-in all the time.

Wrong year (2001)but maybe these can help:
Service Manual
Owner`s Manual

Who cares if you jump it with a car battery, last time i checked a 12v is a 12v battery. My bike did the same this this weekend, touched a battery jumper to it and it started right up, deffiently a battery problem if you ask me.
