so i attemted to swap frames on my 01 f4i... got the whole bike apart..no new frame is on and im having trouble putting it all back together..does any one on here know they can help me out.. ill pay someone to help me rebuild this thing.. front end is on.. i need help to mount the frame on the motor and the swing arm on and then run the electric harness the proper way..

Wish I could help you, bro. Have you thought about asking a local shop to help? Pay a local guy to go through it with you?

 

thats what i did... my boy is a machanic so i got him on his day off and the swap is complete...

hose goes to airbox.I just dropped my motor and put it back together.

mount you swingarm 1st.Here is where the hell will begin.Get a jackstand and lift the motor in slowly.Don't bolt anything yet.There are 2 wires that need to bolt to the motor.1 is a ground and the other is a temp sensor if I am correct.Once those are done lift the motor high to where if lifts the rear of the bike.Take a rubber mallet to the top of the frame by the swingarm and it should pop in.Tell me if ya need anymore info.

 

wires to the motor? u talking about the 2green wire that come off the main harness. i didnt do a motor swap i changed the frame so i tried to leave as much as i could intact... i dont remeber wire bolteddirectly to the motor tho

 

there is a ground wire that feeds off the water pump and a another wire that has a rubber plug.here is the manual for this bike.Download it and you will see what I am talking about.
