Default Synced carbs now a flat spot?

This is kinda long so im sorry. I had tried to sync my carbs and failed. Ended up twisting the screws a few times without looking at the sync tool and it had broke so i got a new one. To start the bike i had to twist the idle line to the right about 2-4 turns. I hooked up the new tool and adjusted it.
I got my carbs synced and took it for a test ride. I have alot of low end power and alot of high end power but i lost almost everything in the middle. When im cruising around 5k and go to hit the gas my bike sputters and slowly gains speed till around 7k then it takes off again.

AnyIm going to resync them next week when i get my throttle cable and try again. Maybe i had twisted the idle to much the first time and its running to rich? Any ideas? Thanks again for any help.

Alright. Well itll be about 3-4 days before i try to sync them again. Ill let you know what i do.

The question i have for people out there is when syncing the carbs and you turn the adjustment screws for carbn 1,2, and 3 does turing them to the right make it run richer or leaner? Thanks again

Lucky you I've been playing around all damn day with the throttle link springs, which adjusts the throttle plate (if you separate the carbs, you'll discover what a joy it is to get them in there).

Tightening the adjustment screws forces the throttle plates open

alright. I think since i may have tighned them more than i should have which is why it sounds like its running rich. Throttle plate open=more fuel running into the carbs correct? Ill figure out what i do and do my best to record my steps so if i happen to fix it i can tell yall.
