Default I synced my carbs and what a difference!

I synced my carbs and although not perfect, it really made a difference. The left 2 carbs are on about 5 on the vacuum gauges and the right two are on 7. Is that a big difference?

The middle adjusting screw is turned all the way down to get them that close. Is there something that I'm missing?

At what RPM should she idle? I have it set around 1500 right now.

A difference of 2 on your guages seems acceptable. However, you said one of your adjustment screws is turned all the way to the end of its range. This means that you have no adjustment left on that one if things should get out of synch again. It is better if all the screws are set so that you have adjustment left in both directions. I read a procedure for resetting the screws to a new baseline and starting over when in the situation you describe. I'll see if I can find it and post it up. Also, I think your idle is too high. Should be between 1,000 and 1,100 RPM.

That would be great. Thanks! I can't imagine it performing any better though even if they were spot on.

I agree, the lower the idle the better balance you will get at the low end.
2 on the gauges is OK but not much more, less is better. I can get mine to 1/2.
1,000RPM-1,100RPM is correct. I balance mine at 900RPM and then turn it up.

I need a sync tool. I need one bad...
I was thinking of trying to make one with pipets and tubing and such, but would much rather have a carbtune. Damn that pound beating up on the dollar....

Go to the Morgan carb tune site. It's still a good deal! Don't wait, just do it!
Or take it to the shop and have them sync your carb`s for twice the price.

+1 SC. I just bought one from Morgan two weeks ago. It is a fine piece of equipment. Highly recommended!
