Default cbr 600 FS2 flat spot

hi, i've got a flat spot at 7000 revs and cant find the cause of it, it happened when I replaced my downpipes, they seem exactly the same just without the massive holes in it lol. the silencer is the same. i've changed the air filter, new spark plugs, and made sure there are no air blockages that i can tell.

the bike has full power before and after the flat spot, does anyone have any ideas?

ta in advance

that usually means a lean condition. Your bike must running lean in that rpm range. You may have clogged jets and just need a simple carb cleaning.

Its hard to give good advice when its unkown exactly what has been done to the bike. I'm assuming its not stock, and if your not the original owner, someone else may have jetted the carbs or tweaked them. But your condtion does seem lean, and if the cleaning doesnt take care of it, I would lower your e-clip one position. this should richen up your mid range.

Also, any exhaust leaking can cause problems as well, especially where the pipes mount to the engine. Make sure there is no exhaust leaking there.

ive checked for leaks. its not sucking or blowing anywhere it shouldnt.

i wouldnt know if the jets are changing, or even how to change this e-clip. cant see anything about it in the manual. its fuel injection would that make a difference as to how to tune it to the exhaust?
