The magazine I work for just had a test of electric impact wrenches but we focused on the pro brands, like Ingersoll Rand, Makita, Panasonic, Facom, Hitachi, DeWalt and so on. The ingersoll Rand was by far the strongest one. Even rusted lug nuts and bolts on tractors having been out for thirty years were loosened by that beast. But the smallest one (and most expensive), the Panasonic, was actually good enough for regular wheel nuts so doing stuff on your bike will be no problem. I'll see if I can get Biltema to send me one for testing in the near future.

Long time no update, mostly because there hasn't been much to write about. But this morning, on a whim, I decided to spray a little bit of starting fluid in the intakes of the bike and try it. The carbs are off by the way, I cleaned them and replaced the o-rings but they are still leaking somewhere. Anyways, I pushed the starter button and the bike came to life for a second or two.

So I'm guessing here but wouldn't this mean that I am at least somewhat right on the ignition now and that it won't start is a symptom of something wrong with the fuel line?

So... this:

Turns out I had done it right this whole time. Bad petcock of the metal tank. Tried the stock one and this is what happened...

Congrats, it runs. It sucks when some little thing like that messes you up.

I had a car once that developed a bad rod knock. Others listen to it and all said it was rod knock. So I parked the car for about 9 months. Then one day I decided I was going to just check a few things. Turns out it was a loose bolt on the flywheel hitting the bell housing. Took 10 minutes to find and tighten it and the car ran perfect again. Doh!
