Default engine starts bogging down at low throttle with HOT engine?

I thought my mix was too rich, so i've turned in my pilot screws another 1/4 turn. When the engine gets really hot, it starts bogging down with 10-15% throttle. The only thing I could think of is my spark plugs. I have a California version F4 and I am using regular F4 plugs and not the Cali version. Would anyone else think this is the problem?

since when would you richen a mix that misses when it gets hot. That indicates a lean mix.

You may want to check to make sure that your floats are at the right level and adjusted correctly. Other than that and leaning out the pilot screw you may have to look deeper.

The floats in cbrs don't adjust.

A bike that misses as it gets hotter is the indication of a rich mix. I only meant to go back to what you had before if it made it worse.

On another note, throttle position means little if anything on these carbs, its RPM range you should be looking at... if your bike is missing at cruising speeds you are probably at mid range and need to adjust jet needles.

So what if the bike is missing at low speeds and light throttle?

MY bike misses are low rpms and light throttle, which indicates a problem with the pilot screw mixture. I think what I really need it someone with the stupid Honda tool and a super-sensitive tach so I can tune it just like the service manual.

low speeds under 4k rpms? then its your pilots. low speeds 4-8k rpms light throttle may be needles or pilot/needle combo.

Whether to richen or lean is up to you to find out. There are like 3 threads right now with these same problems so I am losing track of what I said where, but it is all the same. Run WFO from 3k up to redline on a cold bike a few times, check for weakness or flat spots... then let the bike get nice and warmed up and do the same test. If the problems get worse hotter then you are rich, if they get a little better hotter then you are lean.
