Default More electrical problems!

Hey yall, i was wondering what is happening with the bike now. I already swapped the r/r over the summer to make this thing happy and it worked for the entire riding season. Now i'm pushing it riding into this cold *** fall dropping into like the 40s i really don't want to garage the bike just yet.
On to the problem, the battery is dead, i can't figure out why. at first i was wondering if it was the stator, however, if the stator decided to poo out would the bike decide to stop running after it was jumped? we push started it and i was able to ride like another 70miles. However, i have no idea how these honda's electrical system work so im not sure whats going on.
Secondly, i read on the forum a crappy side stand switch can also cause the bike to misfire at high revs, is that true?
Anyways, im just wondering if i have a chance of a bad battery, or bad stator. Thx guys

sounds like it could be a bad battery. how old is your battery? the only way to be sure is to take voltage readings on the battery and charging system. charge the battery then load test it. replace if necessary and take a charging system reading.

hopefully its a bad battery, the battery is i think about 4 months old however, i bought the battery before i bought the rectifier so i don't know if the bad rectifier killed the battery but its on the charger now at autozone so they'll test it once its done for me as well

I hope Autozone knows not to use the same charging rate as they do on a regular car battery or if your little motorcycle battery wasn't already bad it will be now.

This stuff is ultra easy to troubleshoot with a $9 multimeter from harbor freight.

super easy. red to +, black to -. (on battery) read voltage. 12.8v off, 13.5v to 14.5v running at rpm. tell us what you get. that will show where to look next.

well for the update, car threw a cel so i got pissed, had no intention of working on the bike today but because of that i wanted to hop on the fastest thing i had, which was the moty lol. Anyways, checked the r/r and man was it a pita to pull the harness out, it was like glued in there. the harness was burnt from the last r/r going bad but the new one was pretty clean with a small looking meltedness on one of the metal prongs. but the battery in, and she fired right up, idled fine, and then i went and played wheelie time lol, so i'll post pics of the r/r as well as keep this updated to see if the battery dies in like a day
