Default fuel evaporationg? wont start

Okay. So I had this problem a few weeks ago... fixed it.. let it sit for a weeka nd the same thing happened. maybe someone can tell me whats going on here.

Carbs, completely rebuilt, maybe 10miles on them, fresh plugs, gas, oil etc.

Alright well I had it runnin and it ran out of gas. So i put about a half gallon in it because I'm swapping tanks and didnt want to fill this one up. Just keeps backfiring like its flooded. So i pulled the plugs and 3 of them seemed perfect and I call it the number 1 cylinder (if your sitting on the bike all the way to the left) was bone dry. so we put some gas down the cylinder and it eventually ran, and ran strong. a few days later it started right up. I basically started it every other day, now its sat for a week and I have the same problem.. WTF

So I wrote what is below... then re-read the post and thought it might not be relevant since you ran it out of gas then got it going again. but since nobody else is suggesting anything here it is anyway....

if you loosen each carb drain screw is the amount of fuel in each bowl roughly the same? if #1 is empty then check fuel lines and float. if #1 full then clean carbs again maybe there was junk in the bottom of the tank and when you ran it out of gas you got that crud from the bottom of the tank into the carb.

This is a common scenario, and a good reason why you should never run the tank bone dry. BUT, the fuel filter is there to catch the crud. It's not 100%, though.

You've got a weird situation here, and I think it might be because you're describing it wrong? Here's what I see: you've got 3 wet plugs, one "bone dry". Your plugs should never, ever, ever be wet. If they are, then those cylinders aren't firing, or if they are, you are running WAYYYYYY too rich (though you should then have 4 wet then). Did you remember to re-tune AND re-sync all of the carbs after reinstalling them on the bike?

Tune and sync, then see what happens. If it's still broken, inspect your fuel filter and lines for blockages. loosen each float bowl drain, and see if about the same amount of fuel drains form each one. If it doesn't troubleshoot backwards from there.

If the problem is that you have 3 cylinders not firing every time, then troubleshoot THAT.

Well the thing is I got it to start again, then let it sit for a week and now im back to where I began. When it was running it ran fine with no misses, pops, backfires etc. I think the plugs were wet because it was flooding those three cylinders. but idk we'll see. I'm in the middle of a frame and tank swap. we'll see what happens I guess

That pretty much puts you in a great position to examine every single one of your lines. May as well.
