bike been sitting
hi there, thinking of buying an f3 600 great shape 900 miles
been sitting for 4 months .the owner put stabalizer in tank.
we tried starting the bike, battery keep dying, gonna get a new battery.
should we be using the choke alot and giving it gas .dont want too flood the bike
whats the best way to start a bike thats been sitting.

Its been sitting for 4 months and only has 900 miles on it? Sounds like it been sitting longer than that here and there. Been sitting for 4 months since its last been started? What year was the last for F3? 1998?
Try spraying ether in the carbs. That'll let you know if it'll at least fire. Could be one of many many issues but an engine needs three things to run. Fuel, air, and ignition. Start there. If you've got gas getting into the combustion chamber and you have spark then chances are something is wrong with the air which most likely would be related to the compression of the air so I'd check compression next.
