Fs: 94 cbr1000f
I've decided to pull the trigger on a new Concours, so the trusty CBR is on the block. I'm posting it here before anywhere else because I'd love to see it go to someone in the community, as it's a great bike and the price is right.
I bought the bike with around 16,000 miles on it, and it's got a bit over 25,000 now (I'll get the exact number later...I'm at work). The motor is solid, transmission shifts great as you'd expect, etc. It's got a Vance and Hines SS2r pipe on it, which is somewhat rashed (came to me that way...I've not crashed it) but is sound. If you're a person who cares more about asthetics than I do, a replacement can is cheap, and would fix it right up.
Other than that, cosmetically it's about what you'd expect...has some kicks and wear here and there, but over all is in quite nice condition...no rash on the bodywork or anything like that. I'll post detailed pics later on...it's what I'd rate a 10/10 bike. From 10 feet away, or at 10mph, it looks perfect
I've decked it out nicely (imo) for touring, and I'm going to offer it in various trim levels (with/without a few things) to help folks fit a budget.
94 CBR1000F
25k miles
Vance and Hines pipe, WITH center stand
Sonic Springs 1.05 fork springs with re-valved forks...forks are awesome (or as awesome as these can be anyway)
Hella Optilux driving lights on custom mounts
Sylvania Silverstar Ultra headlight bulbs
Corbin seat, black leather with red trim
Stock seat
Givi trunk mount with knock-off trunk that works great in every way.
Auxilliary LED brake lights
VFR bars (not yet installed)
Heated grips
Wired for radar detector (whistler)
Bridgestone B016 tires that have about 30% left on them (and I have a brand-new unmounted set)
I'm going to list items that need attention below (it's a short list) so apart from that you can assume 100% function
1. The triples are tweaked...was like that when I bought it, and I've ridden it like this for the whole time (I'm lazy
). I have a set of straight triples to put on it but haven't done it yet. They come with the bike of course. I assume the bike was crashed at some point to cause this, but I have had all of the bodywork off it, and there is no other evidence of issues, and I've had the frame measured and it's all straight. The forks and triples on this bike are pretty flimsy, so it's not hard to imagine them getting tweaked if it slid into a curb or some such.
2. front brakes: it needs pads, I have a brand new set of EBC pads for it ready to go in...I was just getting the last bit out of the ones that are on it.
3. It has had 1 clogged idle jet since I bought it...I've never taken the time to fix it. Apart from that carbs are perfect, jetted for the pipe...runs great.
4. It needs one of the rear brake lines replaced. the PO put one on that is the wrong length, and it chaffed against the tire (I assume). I will order a new one and it will go with the bike. If I can find the time, I might even install it (same goes for the triples btw).
That's it. I ride the bike a few times a week, and it hasn't ever given me any problems. Last year I went on a 3,000 mile tour up from TN to VT and back, and I wouldn't hesitate to leave on another such trip tomorrow.
Price:
$2150 with everything
$2000 without the seat...good condition stock seat would come on it instead (it was $320 new and is perfect)
$1850 without the Givi rack.trunk or seat
More detailed pics to come...

I meant to say...if you think you might be interested in any of the stuff that possibly won't go with the bike (Corbin seat, VFR bars, tires, trunk and trunk rack, etc.) PM me and when it sells, if the stuff you're interested in is still in my garage I'll hit you up.
