Covered 112 miles on it yesterday afternoon/evening, and was instantly impressed by it: Very smooth and quiet, superbly flexible....A small handful of throttle in top gear being all that's required for brisk overtaking on A-roads, pretty quick for an oldie....90-100 mph cruising is very comfortable (I'd imagine!), really comfy, superb mirrors, screen keeps the wind off nicely, and nowhere near as bouncy and wallowy as I was expecting a 23yo hippo to be....Quite the opposite in fact!

One small glitch....I was riding along one of the fast, straight, A-roads that we have so many of around here, and I could swear that something hit my right boot....Fearing that my new steed was disintegrating around me, I pulled over as soon as I could: Had a look around, but could not immediately see anything amiss apart from a small area of paint damage where the mystery object had obviously bounced off my boot and hit the bike....Assuming that it had just been a stone, I was about to re-mount (After having spoken to the nice chap on the GSX-R1000 who stopped to see if I was okay), when I noticed that the RH bar end-weight had dropped off!

This, along with another few bits and bobs, need sorting, but otherwise I'm very, very pleased....For the value of a low quality Taiwanese quad, I've got myself an interesting, and very impressive classic....Something to be cherished for a long time I feel!

What do other members think of the colour scheme? Does anyone know if it's an original colour choice?

Don't know if it's a stock scheme, but i LIKE it! Very clean/pristine look to the bike.
Sweet, grats! Well, you should, be pleased. ;-)

Default I used to have a blue / white

That's one smart looking '88 ! .... i used to own a blue / white one.

I don't think this is a factory colour scheme, but eitherway it looks awesome in those colours !

Good on ya.
