Worried I'm missing something
To get at the radiator cap and drain plugs you will have to remove the side fairings. (The hardest part of the whole job). Remove the radiator cap first (make sure then engine is cold), Then there's a bolt you remove at the front of the block to drain it. There's another minor one towards the left side rear. Once they are drained you can pour water into the radiator and watch it pour out the drain holes to flush it. Remember to put the plugs back in. Fill radiator slowly with coolant of choice. Make sure the overflow tanks is also filled about 1/3 to 1/2. Start the engine and let it warm up on its own (no throttle). When the thermostat opens, you will see the coolant start to cycle. Be ready with more coolant because the level will drop all of a sudden if there's an air pocket. When its to the point where it doesn't drop, give the throttle a few quick revs with pauses in between (this will help get any more trapped air out). Put the radiator cap back on. Turn off engine. Put fairings back on. You're done!
I hope that helps. I've done it one time only on my bike and that's from memory.

I would NEVER mix two types of coolant. I have seen two coolants when mixed slowly turn to gel and the motor overheat - in a car. It does happen!!
And always flush out the old coolant if you are changing brands/types.
Cheers, SB
Dazed! Do not mix engine ice with any other coolant! It is Propylene glycol. Most other Coolants are Ethylene glycol. Mix the 2 and the end result is very similiar to Farting real loud at church......The ending will be bad.
I use Engine ice. Drain and flush the old coolant. Then flush and drain again with 1/2 distilled water and 1/2 white vinegar. Fire the motor briefly to let this mixture circulate. Do it again if you have enough fluids. Finally. Fill, run and flush again with Distilled water. This will remove all the original coolant which most likely is Ethylene glycol.
PS. Add in a Massengill Floral Douche to make her feel clean and refreshed as well.....(+ 5 Ponies): )
