I was taking my bikes fairing off today because my new one is arriving.
I started the bike up and noticed green coolant coming near the top of the hose by the radiator cap. I tightend up the hose clamp and it seem to stopped but I can notice a bit of coolant if I squeeze the top of the hose trying to come out.

The bike still seems to idle at 215c even in 35 degree weather.

 

my first 954 did the exact same thing shortly after i first bought it. you could smell it. anyways, all i did was go down to the autoparts store, bought another clamp, and clamped it right underneath the old clamp, and that stopped it for good.

 

Could be that the hose is original and has dried out from age. Old hoses arent as pliable and are prone to leaking.

 

Yes the hose is original, I may just clamp it again. Is it ok to mix coolants say engine ice and another coolant, I dont think that would hurt anything?

 

Don't mix antifreeze with Engine Ice. They are different kinds of coolant that don't mix well together. Engine Ice is good to -26 F anyway.

 

As said, be very careful when mixing coolants, they may seem the same but they contain different properties, always be 100% sure.
