Question Should I be worried?

I'm reaching the 50k mileage mark real soon on my F2. So far, I've replaced the cam tensioner to a manual APE and also replaced the voltage regulator. Should I be worried that my engine is going to blow up anytime soon? (seriously) I've been having absolutely no problems with the F2, and that's why it's making me a bit worried. My friends tell me that I'm riding a time bomb and I should sell it while I still can...

Not sure if anyone here has a F2 with high mileage. What should I expect to do in terms of maintenance engine wise? I change my oil every 2k miles. I'm sure there's more to it than oil changes...Thanks!

Nah.... I don't have an F2, but my first 929 had 80k on it. When the bike got wrecked, the motor was still going strong, burning no oil, and didn't make any out of the ordinary noises. It's a Honda!

I've heard these bikes can go for 100K+ if well maintained...just make sure she's in good shape, maybe do a coolant flush if you haven't in awhile, bleed the brakes and put new fluid in. Those aren't really engine maintenance but they'll freshen the bike up!

My F2 has 18K mileage on it...supposedly...so who know's it could be 100K! She still purrs good though, a nice solid bike!

I don't think you should be to worried, as long it's runs smooth and you keep up the maintenance like you have then it should have plenty of life left, Like demon said It's a Honda!

What bikes do your friends ride?

Ya no worries. I just blew the motor on mine again but that's because of the wrong head gasket

My friends ride a 2003 Yamaha R6, and a 1998 Suzuki GSXR 750. None of them ever owned a Honda...I guess that explains it hehe.
