Default power mods?

Hey guys! I recently baught my first cbr!!! Its a 92 600f2 and I'm lovin it. I was just wondering if any of you guys have done any simple mods to the carbs, airbox, ect., to get a little more power out of it. I'm gonna get it tuned this winter and, tell me if I'm crazie, id like to see 115-120 hp. If you guys have some tips and tricks let me know. And if you could tell me some sites to go to toget these parts that would be awsome!!!

You are gonna spend a truck load of money to get that kind of power! Probably more than the bike is worth. It would be cheaper to buy a new 600rr. And then it would be easier to get to those power numbers. Plus you would get better/newer suspension/technology etc. I'm just saying.

Great websites are like redtube or tube8

Haha no but really, bore the cylinders, bigger pistons turn it into a 637cc or you can re gear slip on air filter and jet for around 200-400 depending on where you get everything and if you do it all yourself

New the F2 had hp 85 @ 11,250 and tq 43 @ 10,000 at the wheel . Realistic numbers for a 20 year old bike with no major modifications prolly 80 hp . It's fun to tinker with stuff to make it faster but dropping $4k on it will get you a damn fast F2 ... that a new 600rr will smoke ...

Thanks for tellin me how it is guys. I'm new to street bikes so I really have no idea how much it would take to give this thing more power. What are some common mods guys do to f2s? I heard of an f3 air box and carb swap but does it really make enough of a difference to actually do it? And there's a d&d pipe on it, should i take it off and put something else on, like a two brothers or a yoshi? And what about sprockets?

-1/+2 the sprockets, get the carbs cleaned and synched, maybe rejetted - fresh plugs, maybe BRC filter. Beyond that - get the suspension as good as you can get it tuned, and learn to go around corners faster than the tools that only focus on straight line speed.

Stick with what you got for exhaust. Read through some past posts and see if anything catches your eye. It can get expensive real quick if want to do eveything needed to be fast. Take it slow and learn to ride this bike and see what the problems are first. I personally say tackle suspension and brakes first. But that is just my .02 cents.
