Exclamation fuel pump? question

Ok, really stupid question, but i just wanted to make sure that cbr f2's (91-94 b/f FI) dont have fuel pumps. Its just gravity/flow right? I didnt think they did, but then saw on ebay and stuff fuel pumps for f2's and f3's and assumed they are just an aftermarket modification. Whats the story? Again, sorry for the stupidity of this question. but I just checked the fiche's for the Hurricane,f, F2, F3 '87 to '98 and they all have fuel pumps. so if the cbr f2 super sport has a pump how the hell can i put one on mine? thank you if you can help

No, the F2's do not have fuel pumps and not really a need for them. It is gravity feed system. But Few(very few) has actually a need to put them on their F2. As for Fuel pumps, F3's have them but not F2's. They are ways of spending $200 bucks on the F23 conversion(F3 Harness, ECU, Fuel Pump). But I recommend not doing it, unless you have rejetted and put racing headers on(jetting & headers for better air flow) and still have fuel cutting problem at high Rpm's. You would need to splice most of your harness to the F3's and purchase the F3 Ecu and fuel pump. Most owners do not push their F2 consistantly enough to the need of adding a fuel pump to an already heavily modified bike. If you haven't spent money on racing headers and rejetted ALOT, there isn't a need for adding a pump.

The F2 petcock is vacuum operated though - then it is a gravity system for fuel flow.
