is it ok for me to hard wire my fuel pump due to a bad relay, i hard wired it into my running light will this be bad for the fuel pump or ok please any help will be appreciated

 

Get a new relay? Take the relay apart and fix it? What's the big deal with doing the job right?

 

i plan on it i just did it to get it to my house the guy i bought it from had parked it for 7 years and all i had to do to get it running was clean the carbs and hardwire the pump

 

i wouldnt hard wire it because it needs that fuel cut relay to stop priming fuel when the carbs become full . .if it stays running without that fuel cut relay youl flood the bike . . .and possibly wash out the rings and thats a hefty tab i wouldnt wanna pick up

 

Do we even know what type of bike we're talking about here ? I can't tell. Is it fuel injected or have carburetors ? Some relays are solid state with nothing to take apart. What bike is this ?
