Default Iginition locked! Any Ideas??

Hi guys, I was going to ride to the beach last Sunday with 8 of my buddies, then my gas tank wouldn't open properly, I fiddled with the key and it broke in there outside of Walmart. Long story short I towed it home and took the lock and key to a smith and they put the key together and made me 2 spares.

K all great so far, but when I broke the key off at Walmart I was trying to use other Honda keys to see if they could start my bike but they wouldn't. So my new key I cant get it to work properly on my ignition. I cant get it out of Lock mode, Ive had this problem before but now I cant get it out of lock mode to save my life.
I have ran out of ideas so I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions.

Thanks so much for your time and reading my post.

Thanks for the quick reply, I forgot to mention one of the two bolts holding in the ignition is somewhat stripped. FML

I had that problem with my F2 - the key didn't always want to rotate clockwise. I shot some graphite in the lock cylinder a time or 2 and it's been perfect ever since.

Yes - powdered graphite - it's used for lubricating lock cylinders, door hinges, pinewood derby car axles, plenty of other things.

You should be able to find a little tube of it anywhere you can have keys made.

After some blisters on my thumb I got it to work. Got a friend to sit on my bike and shake the handle bars while I shook the key in the ignition and it worked after a few tries.
Thanks 87turbobuick and adrenalnjunky
